Hailing from the beautiful countryside of Southern Germany, Berlin-based DJ and producer Atree is no newcomer. Co-founder of “Smoove Mocean,” a record label he shares with his wife Adrenalina, Oliver Gleinser has continually reinvented himself. Yet, his signature sound remained fresh and personal — funk-infused, spacey, and laid-back house music centred on groove.

Since 2015, Atree maintained a steady output of vinyl releases on labels such as Tresydos, Pluie/Noir, Shotgun, or AirFunk, delivering music full of syncopated but funky drum programming, bouncy basslines, and tumbling synth leads — consistently arranged into a functional story-telling formula with an endearing aura reminiscent of music producers living closer to the Mediterranean sea. With an unwavering commitment to his craft, Atree is as passionate about creating music as he is about uncovering hidden gems and timeless classics. Over the past 20 years, 7 of which were initially devoted to reggae & dub, his careful selection of records, innate talent for reading the crowd and magnetically humble presence secured his place in Berlin’s electronic music sphere and beyond as a talent to watch.
